Douglas A. Severtson, 87, of Newfield, NY, died Sunday, May 06, 2018 at the Bath VA Medical Center. He was reunited with the love of his life, Theresa Guidi Severtson who died in 2001. May they have an eternity of love and joy together.
Doug was born in Ithaca, son of the late Alfon and Alvina Luhers Severtson. He served with the United States Army during the Korean War and was a retired machinist.
A loving and devoted father and grandfather, Doug is survived by his daughters, Rosemary Washington, Gloria Potter, Nancy Meert and Anette Severtson; his grandchildren, Lisa, David and Holly Severtson, Matthew Trainor, Sarah Fifer, Brianna and James Miller, Nicole Ellison and Leeann Gardner and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Doug was also predeceased by his son, Michael Douglas Severtson; his grandson, Michael T. Severtson and great grandson, Anthony Severtson. Doug was a wonderful, big hearted man who will be missed by all.
