Douglas Navarro

Douglas Andrew Navarro passed away on October 21, 2014.
The son of Robert G. and Bonnie Brown Navarro, Douglas was a graduate of Ithaca High School and attended the New School in New York.

He was a gifted educator and spent many years working with special needs students in elementary schools in Ithaca, New York and Manchester, New Hampshire. His natural ability to connect with children and caring approach left a lasting impact on countless students.

Douglas was also a talented musician and drummer, known for his passion and encyclopedic knowledge of music.
Most of all, he was a loving, compassionate son and brother with a kindness and sense of humor that was infectious. He also possessed an uncanny ability to name a tune in as few notes as humanly possible. Douglas will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his mother Bonnie, and his brother Greg and his wife, Kathleen, and niece and nephew. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 4 to 6 pm at the Bangs Funeral Home. Please omit flowers. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the charity of your choice supporting children or music.
