Douglas Napier

DOUGLAS NAPIER
Born to Norman Napier and Vina Hughes of Whitesburg Kentucky on May 18, 1935 went to meet his LORD AND SAVIOUR on August 27, 2012 at approximately 10:15 A.M.at the Cayuga Medical Center after a long battle with diabetes. Douglas suffered a great deal because of his illness and heartfelt thanks go to THE CAYUGA RIDGE NURSING HOME AND STAFF who did their best to make him as comfortable as possible while he was with them for approximately 6 years
Douglas served with the United States Air force during the Korean War Conflict era from August 25, 1953 to July 15, 1957 and one of America's beloved Veterans.
Doug was a SPECIAL PERSON since he was always fun to be with; he loved to play poker and was a very generous man, ready to share anything he had with others less fortunate.
Douglas had a career as a stuntman and extra in many movies including Dustin Hoffman's "LITTLE BIG MAN"
Predeceased are his Mother, Vina Hughes,-Father, Norman Junior Napier,-two sisters Bureda Napier and Maybelle McQueen,-two brothers Danial Amos Napier,-Lyndall Darrell Napier and twins, Billy Jean and Betty Jean Napier and half-brother, Norman Junior Napier11 of Martin Kentucky.
Douglas is survived by two brothers, Wallace Napier of Jacksonville Florida and James G. Napier of Ithaca N.Y. One sister, Velma Sue Wille of Denver Colorado and three half-sisters Delores Ann Music- Janice Napier- and Tootsie Skaggs all of Martin Kentucky and numerous nieces and nephews.
Douglas was loved by all who met him and will be sorely missed in our lives but not in our hearts

Christian Memorial Services will be held at THE FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH at 197 Bostwick Road at 11:45 AM on Sunday, September 2, 2012.
