Williamsburg, Virginia. Dorothy "Dot" Herson age 91 died on Sunday October 30 at Williamsburg Landing Retirement Community. Dot was born on March 13, 1925 in Clifton Springs the daughter of the late Alanson and Mae Hurlburt Lindner. She graduated from Clifton Springs High School in 1943. She graduated from Genesee Hospital School of Nursing, and worked as a nurse until she met her husband, Richard Herson. Her training aided her as she helped him through 25 years of dialysis. Dot had a great sense of humor, with quite an affection for silly greeting cards. She loved cats, quilting, and Red Lobster. She loved sharing her retirement home in Williamsburg, Virginia with friends and family. Her favorite saying was, "Keep the Faith." Within the last week, she lost her last sibling, Jack and we hope the two are making whiskey sours and laughing it up. Although her stature was small - a mere 4'10"- her heart and humor were big.
It is requested that in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to the Richard Herson Scholarship and contributions can be made through the Tompkins Charitable Gift Fund Box 6639, Ithaca, NY 14851.
