Donald Wade Murray

Donald "Wade" Murray, 43, of Ithaca, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday October 28, 2014. Wade was born February 15, 1971, the son of William E. Murray and Jeanette Murray and graduated Ithaca High School in 1989. Wade followed in his father's footsteps and became a master barber and owner of Cornell Barber Shop with his brother and best friend Mathew. Wade had a heart of gold and loved spending time with his family and dogs and cherished his time spent fishing with his Dad on the Salmon River.

He is survived by his parents, William and Jeanette, both of Ithaca; his Grandmother, Charlotte Murray of Brooktondale, his brother Mathew Murray of Ithaca, his sister Ryan Smith of Los Angeles, CA., and several Nieces, a Nephew, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Wade was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Roland and Dorothy Snow, his Grandfather Maxwell Murray and his beloved dogs Dori and Max.

A private mass will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Bangs Funeral Home for Immediate family only. A celebration of family and friends will be held Saturday, Nov. 1 2014 from 2PM-6PM at the home of William and Jeanette Murray.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Wade's name may be made to Bangs Ambulance, Slaterville Volunteer Fire and Ambulance, and the SPCA Tompkins County.
