A Great Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Friend

Born to the late George and Jeannette Beach of Newfield. Don was known to his friends as Beachy or by Gary as Bang-Bang. He was a lifelong Newfielder, graduating from Newfield Central School class of 1954. He then served in the US Army in the 82nd Airborne Division from 1955-1957. He worked for NYSEG for over 40 years and retired as a Chief Lineman. He greatly enjoyed his family, hunting, and having a beer with his friends. He always stayed busy with many projects around his house and property.

Don is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Beach, his sons Mike Beach, Dan Beach, and grandson Troy Beach, sister Jeannette Buchanan, brother and sister in-law John and Donna Wild, and sister in-law Lois Beach, best friend Gary P Allen, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Don was predeceased by his brother David Beach and grandson Trevor Fuller. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Donald’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Bangs Funeral Home, 209 W. Green Street, Ithaca, NY.  A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorial contributions be made to the SPCA or charity of choice.
