Donald Armstrong

Donald C. Armstrong, 82, of Ithaca, passed away Monday December 9, 2013 at the Cayuga Medical Center.

Born January 29, 1931 in Cortland son of the late Charles and Nellie Berium Armstrong. also pre-deceased by a son Robert Armstrong (2012).

Don worked in the Asphalt Distribution Industry for 48 years, first as a superintendent at Koppers Co. and then for Cayuga Emulsions.

He was a 62 year member of Immaculate Conception Church, Don was a avid outdoorsman chopping wood, he also loved to hunt and fish with his children. Don's greatest joy was watching his 6 children and 16 grandchildren with their sports and dance.

Survivors include the love of his life, his wife of 61 years Ann K. Armstrong Sons: Rich (Nancy) Armstrong, Don (Linda) Armstrong,

Jim (Tracy) Armstrong and Steve (Jane) Armstrong, Daughter: Karen (Jeff) Gorsky, Daughter-In-Law: Joanne Armstrong, also 16 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday December 13, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday December 12, 2013 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Bangs Funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Don's memory may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Attn: Terry Waite 220 N. Main Street Suite 104 Natick, Ma. 01760 or the charity of ones choice.
