Dolores "Dee" Thompson

May 14, 1942 — February 13, 2021

On February 13, 2021 I went to be with my family.

I was born May 14th, 1942 to Edward and Esther (nee Rosica) Wilczak in Ithaca, NY

I attended Immaculate Conception School, graduated from Ithaca High School in 1960 and went on to work for the New York Telephone Company as a Central Office Technician retiring in 1992 with 30 years of service.

I enjoyed my retirement immensely whether I was meeting friends at the Clubs for drinks and gambling or road tripping with my friends to the Casinos. I was an avid crossword puzzle solver (to keep my mind sharp) and gambler.

Besides my parents, I was predeceased by my long-time companion Russell “Sonny” Clark and nephew Edward Collins.

I am survived by my sibling Dinah Collins of Ithaca, NY, niece Diann Collins and her children Shelby & Ethan of Palm Bay, FL. And several Aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A special thank you to Mickey & Donna, Jim & Marley, Jeannie & Nancy for driving Miss Daisy, also to Donnie Kelly and my wonderful neighbors, The Stone's, Ford's, Bordoni's and Sallinger's, who were there for me after the passing of Sonny.

Graveside services will be celebrated by Deacon George Kozak on Friday, July 09, 2021 at 11 am at the Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Dees honor to Hospice of Ithaca.
