Diane Faehndrich

Diane Christine Faehndrich (nee Gagliano) died peacefully at Hospicare in Ithaca, New
York on July 18, 2017 at the age of 69. She is survived by her sister Angela, daughter
Lorraine, sons Brian, Douglas and Kevin, their spouses Michelle, Jen and Lea and
grandchildren Chloe, Benjamin, Maya and Elsa. She is preceded in death by her
parents, Frank and Mary Gagliano.
Diane was born on September 17, 1947 in Rochester, New York . She helped run her
family business, the Holiday Inn of Wayne, New Jersey, and was the dedicated
proprietor of the Dairy Queen in Nyack, New York. Above all else Diane was a mother
and grandmother. Her life was centered around her family and her endless love for
them was her driving force through good times and bad. Her legacy is the love and
compassion that lives on through all those lucky enough to call her mom, grandma,
sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
A funeral mass is scheduled for Monday, July 24th at 1:00 pm at Immaculate
Conception Church in Ithaca, New York, with a reception to follow. Bangs Funeral
Home will host calling hours for friends and family on Sunday, July 23rd from 1:00 to
3:00 pm . All are welcome to attend and celebrate Diane's life. In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations may be made in Diane's name to Our Lady of Mercy Church in
Park Ridge, New Jersey, or Hospicare in Ithaca, New York
