Denise Marie Rogers, 63, lifelong resident of Ithaca, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Beechtree Care Center with her loving family by her side.
Denise was a graduate of the Immaculate Conception School and Ithaca High School and was a Certified Nurse’s Aide. She had worked for several health care facilities over the years including The Reconstruction Home, Gannett Health Center, Hospicare Residence and Kendal at Ithaca. She had a natural gift for caring for the elderly.
She is survived by her mother, Catherine Reeves McCarthy; her sons, Jamey (Monalita Smiley) Henderson and Kyle Henderson; her grandchildren, Jerrell, Tijah, Jerrin, Karije and Alissa; her brother, Doug Rogers and sister, Stacey Rogers Dembia. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Kenny, Charles, Marvin, Janice, Joyce, Tony, Shane and Jessica and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Graveside services will be celebrated by Fr. Augustine Chumo on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 1 pm at Frear Memorial Park. The family will greet friends on Monday prior to the service from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm at the Bangs Funeral Home.
