Delbert E. Howard Jr.

Delbert E. Howard Jr., 70, of 311 Melody Lane, Newfield, New York, died Friday August 7, 2015 at the Cayuga Medical Center. He was born April 26, 1945 in Ithaca, son of the late Delbert E and Marian Riker Howard.

Del was retired from Tioga Auto Parts. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and New York Mets fan, loved flying airplanes and his dog, Sasha. Del was a handy person with repairs and woodworking and was always willing to buy or sell raffle tickets for a good cause.

Survivors include his daughter, Paige Howard; step children, Christopher and Tyler Gloss; brothers, Charles (Donna) Howard and Neal (Patricia) Howard and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Del.

Private graveside services will be held at the family plot in South Hill Cemetery. at Delbert's request there will be no public services or calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2507 James Street, Suite 106, Syracuse, NY 13206, in Delbert's memory.
