David Elver Leistikow

David "Dave" Elver Leistikow, 69, of Newfield, New York, passed away, Friday, January 15th, 2016.

Dave was born August 12th, 1946 in Los Angeles, California and adopted by Mel and Ardis Leistikow. He served in the Navy from 1965-69 . On December 20th, 1969 he married Janice Peterson in Chico, California. Dave worked in telecommunication sales for over thirty years most recently with Alcatel in Plano, TX and retired in 2010 to Newfield, NY. Dave had a lifelong passion for sports, especially flyfishing and golfing. He treasured his friendships and loved hosting friends and family at his house or at a restaurant for a great meal and fellowship. More than anything, he loved spending time with his wife, sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren.

Dave is survived by his wife, Janice, two sons, Tim and his wife Kim of Minneapolis, MN, Joel and his wife Rebecca of Newfield, NY, and three beautiful grandchildren, Henry, Juliet, and Everett.
