David W. Carman

David “Hippy” W. Carman, 68, of Ithaca, NY passed away peacefully on May 31, 2023 at Cayuga Medical Center surrounded by family.

David is survived by his wife of 20 years, Charlene; his two daughters, Heather (Anthony) Sinn Sr. and Trista Carman; his step-children, Skylar Reagin, Adrian Stetson and Raymond Larry; his brother, Douglas (Lori) Carman; his sister, Debbie (Ron) Smith; grandchildren, Aubrie and Bentley Sinn and Charlotte Stetson; father in law and mother in law, Robert & Ruth Larry  as well as nieces, nephews and many friends and family, especially his best friends, Dave and Jill Chandler; and his beloved dog, Max.

He was predeceased by his mother, Shirley Carman and his father, Walter Carman.

David was an Electrician for the Local #241 for 25+ years. He enjoyed Nascar and any circle track racing. He also enjoyed fishing but, most of all, he loved being surrounded by family and friends.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Bangs Funeral Home, 209 W. Green St., Ithaca from 3:00pm until 5:00pm.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Taughannock Falls State Park on July 15, 2023 at 2:00pm.
