David F. Bowman

David F. Bowman, 78, died on Saturday, September 29, 2018. He was born on March 1, 1940 in Auburn, NY. He is predeceased by his parents Fred Bowman & Ina (Reeves) Bowman of Lansing, NY. He is survived by his sisters Barbara Benedict and Violet Rogers and his brother Robert Bowman. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews; great nieces & nephews, as well as, great-great nieces & nephews.

David served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War as an airplane and fighter plane mechanic. He retired from Cornell University in Building Maintenance after 48 years.

David, also known by many as "Uncle David", will be remembered for his great carpentry work as he would make numerous pieces of furniture in his spare time for colleagues and relatives. He was also a very generous man and would regularly donate his blood to the Red Cross.

There will be a private family burial to be announced. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
