We are horribly saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Daphne Williams Rice at the age of 57. Daphne was born on May 16, 1964 to Katherine Bullock and James Brown in Brooklyn, NY, and immediately brought joy and laughter into the world.
Daphne is predeceased by her parents Katherine Bullock and James Brown, brother Raymond Williams, her husband Gerald “Jerry” Rice, and ex-husband Robert Leckey. She is survived by her brother Preston Williams, children Shavasia Williams, Robert Williams, Raymond Leckey, Llord V. Leckey, Shery Leckey, stepchildren Joshua Rice, Lyndsey Mallory, and grandchildren Razéah Flanigan, Troy Washington II, Savon Smithwick, Lavon Williams, Zania Williams, Ever Elliott, Gianni Griffin, and eleven more grandchildren from her stepchildren.
Services will be held at Bangs Funeral Home, 209 West Green St., Ithaca, NY 14850, on Tuesday, October 5 at 11:00 AM. Viewing starts promptly at 10 AM. Please send flower and cards to the funeral home.
