Cynthia Maria Morrison-Morales

Cynthia Marie "Cindy" Morrison-Morales, 60, of Ithaca, passed away Friday June 5, 2015 at home following a battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

She was the daughter of Maria Christina Morrison, and the late Richard T. "Skip" Morrison.

Cindy graduated from Ithaca High School in 1973, In 1978 she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Nursing from TC3, also graduated from Phillips Hairstyling Institute in 2010. 1979 and 1980 Cindy with her life long dedication to the underserved, exemplified by her Peace Corps Service in Guatemala. She held various positions as an RN Throughout Ithaca, most notable her 18 years in the Cayuga Medical Center ER and the loving relationships formed during her 7 years of home care. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, and Volunteer at the service league, Cindy enjoyed reading, history, antiquing, theater, perch fishing and bird watching.

In addition to her mother she is also survived by her husband of 34 years David I. Morales, Daughter: Josephine I. Morales, Son David R. Morales (Pancho), siblings Deborah (Jack) Brewster, Michelle (Willie) VanDeMark, Agnes (Bill) Binger, Richard Morrison and Maria (Tracy) Barr. and her loving nieces and nephews and Numerous other relatives.

A Celebration of her life will be held Saturday June 13, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at the Tabernacle Baptist Church Ithaca, Friends may call from 10:30 to 12:00 noon prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to either the Tabernacle Baptist Church or Hospicare of Tompkins County. Bangs Funeral Home will be assisting the family..
