Clarence D. "Ted" Vanzile

Clarence D. "Ted" VanZile, 73, lifelong resident of Newfield, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Hospicare Residence.
He was born in Ithaca, son of the late Kenneth and Irene Howell VanZile and was also predeceased by his brother, Jim and sister, Phyllis.

Ted was retired from Ithaca College where he had been employed for over 40 years as a landscaper. He was an avid gardener and hunter.

Ted is survived by his wife, Terri Austin Schmeyer-VanZile; his son, Eric VanZile and his daughter and son in law, Amy and Adam Jacobs and grandson, Robert McCray; his brother, Gene (Sandy) VanZile and nephew, Jeff and his sister in law, Dorie VanZile and nephew, Kevin. He is also survived by his niece, Amber Riggs and other nieces and nephews.

Friends may stop by on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 12 to 2 pm at the Bangs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ted's memory may be made to Hospicare, 172 E. King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.
