Christopher P. Smith

Christopher "Chris" Paul Smith, 56 of Danby, NY passed away unexpectedly Monday March 7, 2022 at home.

He was born August 17, 1965, in Neptune, NJ to Patricia Ann Brodowski Smith and the late Clinton Prescott Smith.

In his younger years, Chris was an avid skier and snowboarder at Greek Peak Mountain Resort in Virgil, NY, where he was employed for many years in the rental shop. Chris also worked at Indian Creek Farm, where his passion for farming began. Next, to the present, he worked at Littleflowers Farm in Newfield, NY. In recent years he was also growing his own vegetables for his roadside vegetable stand on Shaffer Rd. in Newfield.

In addition to his mother, Chris is survived by his daughter, McKayla Partis; brother, Cory (Patty) Smith; sister, Tara (Bobby) Schmidt; niece, Alyssa Schmidt; nephews, Kyle Smith, Andrew (Ashley) Moore, Alex (Whitney) Smith, Drew Smith, Erik Smith; great nephew, Jace Smith; special friends, John Ferris, Tim Bard, Ricky Boyle and Shawn Boyle.

In addition to his father, Chris is predeceased by his brother, Clinton Prescott Smith Jr.

Calling hours will be 11am-1 pm Monday March 14, 2022 at Bangs Funeral Home, Ithaca with a service immediately following at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery, Trumansburg, NY. A reception will follow the burial at Kelly's Dockside Cafe, Ithaca, NY.
