Christopher Ryan Nold

September 12, 1985 — May 3, 2020

Christopher Ryan Nold, 34, of New York, NY lost his battle with cancer on Sunday May 3rd, 2020. Chris was born in Natrona Heights, PA on September 12, 1985 to George and Karen Nold. Chris was the class valedictorian of his Highlands High School of 2004, Eagle Scout from Troop 186 and graduate of the 2008 class from Duke University. His passion for writing poetry afforded him the opportunity to have multiple books published and this creativity was influenced by his love of listening to music.

Chris was in the care of his New York family and is survived by Girlfriend Dana Berger, her Father Marc Berger and Grandmother Lillian Berger. Chis was also survived by his three Brothers, Jason Nold and Holly Garrett of Chambersburg, PA, Michael and Lauren Nold of Kent, OH and Matthew Nold and Linsey Barnhart of Pittsburgh, PA and Nephew Alexander Nold, along with several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, his Fraternity Brothers from Sigma Chi Beta Lambda of Duke University and all of his friends from New York, his home town and all of those from all over that he touched and influenced during his journeys. Chris will be greatly missed.

A special thanks to all of the doctors and nurses from Klink St. Georg in Germany and the Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY.

A service will be held at a later date due to the current Covid-19 circumstances, where we will all be able to celebrate and share memories of Christopher. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bangs Funeral Home of Ithaca New York.
