Cheri L. Hartman, 71, of Briarwood Ln., Newfield, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Cayuga Medical Center. She was born in Corning, daughter of the late Edward and Eva Mae Smith Fitzgerald.
Cheri was a graduate of the Arnot Ogden School of Nursing and had worked for Tompkins County as a nurse for over twenty years.
Cheri is survived by her husband of 50 years, Van Hartman; her daughter, Heidi Hartman; her sons, Shane Hartman and Scott (Ricki Cooke Hartman and her grandchildren, Nicholas Fowler, Jacob Hartman, Kari Hartman, Eva Mae Hartman and Brittany Rose. She is also survived by her siblings, Donald (Donna) Fitzgerald, Alma (William) Murdough and Patrice (Steven) Drew and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on Wednesday, May 04, 2016 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Bangs Funeral Home.
