Charles Frank (Chuck) Corbett

Charles Frank Corbett passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer, in Groton, NY.

Charles (Chuck) Corbett was born February 15, 1953, to Raymond Merritt Corbett and Edith Emory Rohrer.  He graduated from Ithaca High School in 1971.  He then enlisted into the U.S. Navy and was stationed at NSA Mid-South in Millington Tennessee.

Chucky enjoyed hunting, owning and driving sports cars and refurbishing and collecting various items.  Above all, Chuck truly cared for his family.

Chuck is survived by his son, Joshua (Melanie) Corbett of Lyons, NY. Brothers; Gene (Cindy) Corbett of Ithaca, NY and Robert Rohrer of Enfield, NY. Grandchildren; Chloe and Domanic Corbett. Long time devoted companion, Theresa Swayze. Nieces; Tracey Pullido, Shannon Hamilton and Penny Hamilton.  He also had numerous great nieces and nephews.

Chuck was predeceased by his father; Raymond Corbett, mother; Edith Rohrer, stepfather; Robert Rohrer, sister; Sherry Consalvi and brother-in-law; Andrew Consalvi.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Bangs Funeral home in Ithaca, NY at 11:00.  Funeral will begin at 12:00. Burial will be delayed until Spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chuck’s memory to the SPCA of Tompkins County.
