Cathy J. Saloff-Coste

Cathy J. Saloff-Coste, of Ithaca, died unexpectedly at home Monday February 1st, 2021. She was born in Norwalk, CT, February 05, 1958, the youngest child of the late Herb and Maxine Jacobs. Cathy was a dedicated and loving mother and wife, and she had many dear friends. She loved animals, especially horses and dogs and she enjoyed swimming and gardening. She was a registered dietician nutritionist, and her professional life was devoted to helping people facing the difficult challenges of eating disorders. She is survived by her husband, Laurent and their children, Sam and Claire; her siblings, Cris, Jill and Beth; her cousins, nieces, and nephews; and her dog, Leila.  Donations in Cathy's memory may be made to the Women's Fund of the Community Foundation of Tompkins County or to the charity of one's choice.
