Catherine Kimpland, 72, of Hayts Rd., Ithaca, passed away Saturday, May 07, 2016. She was born in Ithaca, daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary Farrell Hughes.
Catherine is survived by her daughter, Jean Marie Kimpland; her grandson, Brandon (Stephanie) Frederick; her sisters, Mary Stanton, Lucy (Harry) Foote and Carol Hardesty and her brothers, David Hughes, Pete (Marcia Knight) Hughes and Larry "Gus" (Judy) Hughes and her niece, Stephanie Stanton and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, Jim Hughes.
In keeping with Catherine's wishes there will be no public services. Donations may be made to the Cayuga Medical Center Foundation, 101 Dates Dr., Ithaca or the Cancer Resource Center, 612 W. State St., Ithaca. Bangs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
