Carolyn Hillick George, 94, of Ithaca, passed away Friday, July 10th, 2015 to be reunited with John George, her loving husband of 59 years. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Sidney Hillick and was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters.
She will be greatly missed by her sons and daughter-in-laws, William and Loraine George of Myrtle Beach and John and Susan George of Endicott. She dearly loved and will be missed by her grandchildren Amy and Kerry O'Brien, Holly and David Kudgus, John H. George, and Hillary C. George. She always made each of them feel very special. In recent years, she found joy and touched the lives of her great-grandchildren, Isabella and Olivia O'Brien, and Alexander and John Kudgus. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Carolyn will always be remembered as an amazing and strong woman, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She enjoyed the songs, dances, artwork, and even an occasional wheelchair ride provided by her great-grandchildren. She was never at a loss for words, some very colorful.
At Carolyn's request, a private service will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Ithaca. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. The arrangements were made through Bangs Funeral Home of Ithaca.
