Caroline L. Anderson

Caroline L. Anderson, 88 of Inverness, Florida went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. Caroline was born in Marathon, NY on March 13, 1934 to Orvis Hulbert and Jane Vandermark. After graduating high school she went to Missionary College in Binghamton. Then she met the love of her life and went into the workforce. She worked at Crescent Corset, Smith Corona, owned and managed Marathon Diner in the 1970’s and managed The Florentine Motel in Indian Shores, FL before retiring in 1998 in Inverness, Florida.

Caroline had an active life with the Baptist church for many years. She lived her life the best she could in service of the Lord. She had many hobbies: knitting, sewing, playing cards, reading, baking and crafting with seashells. She loved making and giving homemade gifts to friends and family.

Caroline was preceded in death by her husband Donald and multiple siblings. Together they had three children Glenn Anderson, Colleen DeJohn and Craig Anderson. Grandchildren are Glenn Anderson Jr., Julie Anderson-Bakos, Cathy Reynolds, Naomi Giles, Trina Orbison, Brittany Freeman, Craig Anderson, Mckayleigh DeJohn, Hunter Anderson and 15 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family on Friday Apr 22, 2022 from 12pm-3pm at 1453 Trumansburg Rd. Ithaca, NY.
