Carmen A. Brewer

Carmen A. Brewer passed away in her sleep early Monday morning February 6, 2023 at Cayuga Nursing. Born in Ithaca on March 11, 1930 the daughter of the late Domingo and Lucy (O’Brien) Aguilar. She was predeceased by her husband, Dale; brothers, Lt. Col. D.I. Aguilar and Rene Aguilar; sister, Virginia Fields; and brothers-in-law, George Fields and Robert Boothroyd.  She is survived by her sisters, Rita Boothroyd, Lise Rynes and Tina (Dan) Matychak.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Carmen graduated from Immaculate Conception School and Ithaca High School in 1948. She worked for many years at D.H. Brewer Plumbing, Cornell Campus Store and finally Wegmans well into her 80’s.

There will be a committal service for Carmen and her brother, Rene, at Calvary Cemetery, 636 5 Mile Drive, Ithaca on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 12 noon.
