Carl Antonio Scalia

Carl Antonio Scalia, 82, died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Black Diamond, PA, son of the late Raffaele and Angelina Scalia.
Carl had served as a paratrooper with the United States Army and was retired from Evaporated Metal Films where he been a maintenance supervisor for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. Carl had a heart of gold and would do anything for a friend. His most enjoyable times were those spent with his family and friends.
Carl is survived by his loving longtime companion, Nancy Lee Oltz and her son, John Zifchock; his nephew, Roger Scalia and dear friends, Bob and Nancy Oltz and Tut Tavelli.
In keeping with Carl's wishes there will be no public services. Donations in his memory may be made to Hospicare, 172 E. King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850. Bangs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
