Caesar, a.k.a. Messiah succumbs to his death unexpectedly
on October 3rd , 2023. Caesar was 67 years of age at the time
of his death. Caesar was the 1st child born to Earline and
Augustus Slaughter Jr. on July 3, 1956 in Manhattan, New
York.
Caesar had a troublesome past, but despite it all he strived
continually to have a better life. He attended NYC Public Schools
in his youthful years, and during his adult life he was able to
obtain his GED as well as received a Certificate of Completion in
Criminal Justice from John Jay College. Caesar continued to push
to make his later years exceptional than his earlier.
Caesar had a warm and loving heart; he would literally give you
anything that is asked for without hesitation. He loved and adored
his family. Caesar has taught most individuals how to survive life’s
challenging circumstances and encourage them never to give up.
Although Caesar was born in Manhattan, New York, but raised
and represented Red Hook Brooklyn, New York to the fullest. As
Caesar recognized life was worth living, he decided to change his
environment. He relocated to Ithaca, New York where many of the
immediate family resided and began to live his life accordingly.
Caesar enjoyed making glass paintings and beaded
bracelets/necklaces. He blessed so many with his gifts. Caesar is
free!!!
Caesar was preceded in death by his mother and father Earline
and Augustus Jr; his brother Clarence Slaughter; nephews Jakim,
Dominque, and Artie; his maternal grandfather Earl Young, his
maternal grandmother Gloverine Addison, his paternal
grandfather Augustus Slaughter Sr.; and his paternal grandmother
Myra Harris-Slaughter, also uncles, Stanley Slaughter, Charles
Slaughter and William (Billy) Frank. Caesar is survived by his son
Rasheen and daughter Nyasia. Five grandchildren: Raven,
Censear, Haheem, Kingston and London. He also embraced Shariff, Reul, Eli, and Ashley Dickens as his sons; brothers
Augustus III; and Rudy; Sisters Cynthia Slaughter-Dent; Dianne
Mack (Rahmel); Talibah (Vivian) Slaughter; Tiffiny Bates-Johnson
(Michael). Caesar has 14 nieces; 10 nephews; 4 aunts; 2 uncles.
He also leaves behind a host of cousins, other relatives and
countless faithful friends.
