C. Jean "Grammie" Wall, 90, of McGraw House Ithaca, passed away Monday April 14, 2014 at the Hospicare Residence surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born in Ralston, Pa. on May 31, 1923, daughter of the late Albert and Katherine Brannaka Knowlden and widow of John Wall.
Jean was a life time member of the Eastern Star, Mystic Chapter # 275 where she was a faithful color bearer for over forty years.
Survivors include son: David (Dee) Wall, daughters: Shirley (Bill) Betts, Sonja (Mark) Vann and daughter-in-law Catherine Wall. Grandchildren: Kevin (Tracy) Wall, Kim (Tim) Payne, Solon (Sonja) Betts, Tori (Mark) Braley, Matt (Lindsey) Vann, Justin (Kirsten) Vann, Andrew, Peter and Patricia Wall Great Grandchildren: Abigail and Madison Wall, Patrick and Kassidy Payne, Ted Robson, Dakota and Dustin Betts, Kody Braley, Robby Dodson, Lucas and Emma Vann also Brothers: Russell, Louis and Carl Knowlden and several nieces and nephews and cousins and her extended family at the McGraw House of Ithaca In addition to her parents and Husband she was also Pre-Deceased by her Son: Norman Wall and 3 Brothers and one Sister.
A celebration of Jean's life will be held Friday April 18, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Bangs Funeral Home with pastor Dale Ford Officiating, burial to follow at the Larue Cemetery. Friend may call Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Funeral Home, In lieu of flowers donations in Jeans memory may be made to the Newfield Fire and EMS Co. or Hospicare of Tompkins County.
