Blanche P. Marshall

Blanche Ellen Piper Marshall, 104, of 103 Bundy Road and formerly of Utica Street, Ithaca died Friday April 17, 2015 at the Cayuga Medical Center. She was born on October 1, 1910 in Ithaca, NY to the late Augustus and Mary Dart Piper.


Blanche was a very proud member of the Red Hat Society, the VFW Women's Auxiliary, The Moose, and was a 60 year member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She was a lifelong member of St Paul's United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Merton, and her husband Warren.

Survivors include her sons: Michael (Jodele) Marshall and Bruce (Tari Everts) Marshall, daughter: Darlene (George) Best, grandchildren: Scott Warren Marshall, Kevin Michael Marshall, Sara Marie (Keith) Richerson, Elizabeth Megan Best, Eve Piper Sloan Best and Lisa Marie Everts (Jon Carlton) and great grand daughters: Grace Marie Richerson and Addelynn Stormy Richerson. She is also survived by her niece Ruth Gorski.


Funeral services will be held on Friday April 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with a reception to follow in the Church hall. A private family burial will be held at 2:00 PM at the Ellis Hollow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the S.P.C.A of Ithaca. Bangs Funeral Home will be assisting the family.
