Beverly C. Kamin

Beverly C. Kamin, 89 of Groton passed away Friday, August 25 at Crown Park.  She was born in Trumansburg on June 21, 1934, the daughter of the late Carleton and Katherine Slaght Corey, Sr. Beverly graduated from Ithaca High School in 1953.  She was married to Lawernce Kamin for 52 years, until his death in 2012.  A lifelong member of the Eagles, who enjoyed bingo and bowling, could name any tune in a couple of notes, animal lover especially small dogs.  Beverly and Larry would take numerous trips to Alexandria Bay and enjoyed playing slot machines in many local casinos.  She was very witty and was a devoted fan of the Yankees. Beverly worked for over forty years for Security Mutual Insurance Company.

Predeceased by her parents, husband, brother Carleton Corey, Jr, and sister-in-law Jean Corey.

Survived by son: Michael (Christina) Kamin of Newfield; daughter Katherine (Fred Perry) Pipher of Fulton; grandchildren: Amanda (Dave Vanderhoof) Pipher, Brandon (Monica) Kamin, Corey (Hannah Halstead) Pipher, Simon Hill, Spencer Hill, Desiree Oseid; great grandson Chase Rejman; nephews Raymond (Liz) Corey, Steve (Gina) Corey, and Carlton Corey III; sister-in-law Maryjane (Bud) Oehler; special friend Glenna Dickson and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 11:00m in the New York State Veterans Cemetery-Finger Lakes.
