Beth Reynolds Wilcox, 68, of Trumansburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2019 at the Cayuga Medical Center. She was born August 21, 1951 in Ithaca, NY, daughter of the late Carl and Elsie Moore Reynolds.
Beth had worked as a procurement specialist at Cornell University for nearly thirty years before health issues forced her to retire. She was a lover of animals, especially horses and had been active with her daughters in their early years with 4-H. She had recently become active in painting and loved attending “Paint Night” with family and friends.
A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Beth’s family was always the center of her life. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, David Wilcox; her daughter, Valerie Wilcox; her son, Michael Wilcox (Stephanie Cruz) and her grandchildren, Madison and Robert. She is also survived by her siblings, OmDevi, June, David, Carol, Anita and Robert and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by her beloved daughter, Sara Beth Reynolds and her brother, Richard.
Friends may call at the Bangs Funeral Home from 4 to 6 pm on Friday, November 01, 2019. A celebration of Beth’s life will be held in the summer of 2020 and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to “Sara’s Gift”, c/o Tompkins Trust West End Branch, 701 W. Seneca St., Ithaca, NY 14850. The fund was established following Sara’s death to assist clients at Cornerstone Veterinary Hospital, where she worked, who might need assistance with medicine for their pets.
