Bernice S. Lisseck, 74 of Ithaca passed away on October 16, 2018 in her home.
Bernice was a lifelong resident of Ithaca and retired from the Tompkins County Department of Social Services. She also worked at the Cornell Campus Store for many years.
Bernice held a special place in her heart for her cats. They were her “babies”. Anyone she met would hear stories about Bud and Nala whom she had for 17 years. Along with caring for her cats, she enjoyed watching all sports, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Bernice is survived by her daughter, Sandra Ridley (Scott), brother Paul Lisseck (Kay) and grandchildren, Derek and Kalei Fenn. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Bernice Lisseck.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday October 25th at 1:00pm at the Lakeview Cemetery. Immediately following the graveside service will be a celebration of her life at the First Baptized Church of Jesus Christ in Ithaca located at 412 First Street, Ithaca, NY 14850.
