Barbara A. Manley

Barbara A. Manley, 71, of Newfield, NY, died Monday, February 18, 2019 at the Cayuga Medical Center. She was born in Binghamton daughter of the late Eugene and Viola Gower Nesbitt.

Barb had worked in the bakery department at Wegman’s for over 20 years and had previously worked at Wyllie Dry Cleaner’s for many years. She loved her interactions with her co-workers and customers at both places. She loved to collect lighthouses and Christmas Village sets and also crocheting and bowling.

A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister, Barb is survived by her children, Michael (Christine Tottey) Foster, Melissa Foster, Richard (Marge) Foster, Russell (Robyn) Manley, Jr. and April (Jesse) Warner; her grandchildren, Tyler Foster, Faith Ann Warner, Elsa Warner, Kirsten Sommers, Seth Foster, Courtney Foster, Tabitha Foster, Heather Manley, Beth Ink, Sabrina Foster, Asher Manley, Emma Blinn, Julia Blinn and Greyson Manley and her great grandson, Owen Foster. She is also survived by her sisters, Nancy (John) Hirst, Gail (Bob) Turner, Gloria Carlyle, Kate (Larry) Nesbitt; her brother, Gary (Carol) Nesbitt and several nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to her parents, Barb was also predeceased by step mother, Audrey Nesbitt; her sons, James C. Foster, Jr. and Willis S. Foster; her sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Dave Downing and her brother, Eugene Nesbitt and brother-in-law, Bobby Carlyle.

Barb’s family is planning a private gathering to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Center, Elm & Canton Streets, Buffalo, NY 14263.
