Kress, Barbara Ann Zuris
Beaver Dams: Barbara Ann Zuris Kress, age 76, of Beaver Dams, NY, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, March, 19 2013, at Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca, NY, surrounded by family and friends. Barbara was born in Elmira, NY, November 23, 1936, to Suzie H. Zuris, Horseheads, NY, and the late John J. Zuris. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas L. Kress; her brother, John R. Zuris, and Regina L. Kies. Barbara is survived by her sons, Daniel E. Kress, Baltimore, MD and John R. Kress, Beaver Dams, NY; and her stepchildren, Gunner L. Kress, Groton, NY, Calistina A. Jencks, Groton City, NY, Heidi E. Belles, Aurora, NY and Katrina M. Randall, Groton, NY; sisters, Mary E. Smith, Horseheads, NY, Winifred Sandlin, Wetumpika, AL and Kathy S. Brotherton, Elmira Heights, NY. Barbara retired from Cornell University on December 12, 1998 and she loved every minute of her time. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, NV, Seattle, WA, Chicago, IL and other destinations. A celebration of Barbara's life will be announced at a later date.
