Anna "Liz" Mayhak, 52, of Ithaca, died Monday, January 11, 2016 at Hospicare, Ithaca. Liz was born on May 25, 1963. She lived in Montana, Washington State and Ithaca. Liz graduated from Newfield High School in 1982 and from TC3 in 1996 with an Office Tech. degree and attended Walla Walla Community College. She had worked at Northeast Elementary School, The Ithaca Journal and Franziska Racker Centers. Liz has been involved with Special Olympics for many years.
Liz is survived by her daughter, her pride and joy, Harmony Mayhak of Dryden; siblings, Corky (Dave) Nazer of Newfield, Joy Migneault of California, Charlie Migneault of Montana, Lila Migneault of Ithaca, Gail Migneault of Spencer, Norman "Sonny" Burg Jr. of Newfield and Ida "Peanut" Besemer of Danby; numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Anna Percey, a sister, Charlene Migneault and her father, Norman Burg Sr.
Memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 114 Burleigh Drive, Ithaca Friday at 11a.m. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Interlaken. Bangs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
