Anna J. Faben

Anna J. Faben, 96, of 318 South Albany St. Ithaca, died Saturday December 13, 2014 at the Beechtree Care Center. She was the widow of Michael J. Faben (November 12, 1978).

Anna was retired from the Statler Hotel, Cornell University, where she had worked for over 30 years. She had been with the Statler Since their opening in the early 1950's. She was a long time member of Immaculate Conception Church.

Anna was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always wanted the best for her family and asked for nothing in return. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Savino) Ferrara; her sons, Michael J. (Joanne) Faben,Jr., Gerald A. (Kathy) Faben and Richard E. (Barbara) Faben and her 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Josephine Barry and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, David R. Faben.

Private prayer services will be held at Bangs Funeral Home with Patrick Meyer of Immaculate Conception Church Officiating. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Immaculate Conception School.
