Ithaca: Ann Marcham, 76, of Conifer Village, Ithaca, died December 16, 2012 at Cayuga Medical Center after a period of declining health. She was born December 15, 1936 in Ithaca, the daughter of Mary C. and Frederick G. Marcham. Ann was a graduate of Ithaca High School in 1954, earned a B.S. in Hotel Administration and a Master's in Public Administration in 1964, both at Cornell University. She was a departmental secretary at Cornell Medical College in New York City, an administrator at Emma Pendelton Bradley Medical College in Providence, RI, and attended a graduate program in Health Systems Management at Harvard University. For many years, Ann was special assistant to the dean of the Cornell Veterinary College. She belonged to the Wednesday Club of Providence, a debating society, and in Ithaca to Sage Chapel Associates, the Garden Club, and Suicide Prevention and Crisis Service. Ann loved her dogs, Shadow and Lilly. She loved color, fabric, word play, belly dancing, and flower arranging. Ann is survived by brothers, John (Jane) and David (Elizabeth); niece, Sarah Marcham and her husband Chris Lowe and their sons Liam and Matthew; nephews, Bruce (Deborah) and David Marcham. The family wishes to thank the following people for their friendship and care of Ann: Judy, Gunilla, Howard, Leanne, Lisa, Buzz, JoJo, and the EMTs at Bangs Ambulance. Ann received fine care from the nurses and physicians at Cayuga Medical Center and Guthrie Medical. Memorial gifts may be made in Ann's name to Cayuga Medical Center Foundation or the SPCA. Friends may call Friday, December 21, 2012, from 2-4 p.m. at Bangs Funeral Home. Private services and burial will be held at a later date.
