Andrew D. Young, 70, of Newfield, NY died on Tuesday November 21, 2023 at his home. Andy was born on May 21, 1953, in Ithaca, NY.
He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Charlotte (Cowgill) Young, and sister Deborah (Young) Porter. He is survived by his sons,
Andrew and Jason, brother Don, and grandchildren Isabella, Jonah, Andrew (AJ), Nora, Evan,
Mackenzie and Madison, his niece Brittney and nephews Rick and Trevor.
After graduation from Ithaca High School, Andy worked as a dispatcher for Tompkins County
Fire Control and as an EMT for County Ambulance Service. He worked many years for the Ithaca
City School District in the Transportation Department.
Andy will be remembered as always willing to lend a helping hand and for his quick laugh and
sense of humor.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
