Adrienne Shumer Drucker

Adrienne Shumer Drucker, 87, died Sunday, July 26, 2015. She was born on September 03, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY.


She is survived by her daughter Diana Drucker, "sin-in-law" Tom Torrens, grandson Daniel Drucker (Ariel Weinberg), great-granddaughter Celeste, lifelong friend Bernice Rosenlicht and her family, dear friend Allan Novetsky and his family and many other friends in Ithaca, Brooklyn, Marlboro,NJ and Florida.Adrienne was predeceased by her husband of 59 years Harris Drucker with whom she enjoyed great adventures in Israel, England, Italy, Turkey, Thailand ("I'm never riding an elephant again") and much of the USA and her son David in 2013, a devastating loss for her.

She loved good food, good friends, travel, British television, Boston Terriers and garage sales.
Thanks to the caring staff at Bridges Cornell Heights, especially dear Violet and to Hospicare, Jayne Demakos and Namgyal Monastery.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no public services. Donations may be made to US Holocaust Memorial Museum, Washington DC (www.ushmm.org), American Society for Yad Vashem (www.yadvashemusa.org), Hospicare Ithaca (www.hospicare.org),Tompkins County SPCA (www.spcaonline.com) or to the Namgyal Monastery (www.namgyal.org).
