Aasen Elizabeth Michelle May

Aasen Elizabeth Michelle May, aged 11, passed away on August 11, 2024, in Newfield, NY. Born on May 4, 2013, in Ithaca, NY, Aasen was known for her outgoing and artistic nature, and her ability to befriend everyone she met.

Aasen attended Newfield Central School, where she was involved in band, choir, student council, and cheerleading. Her vibrant personality and creative spirit were evident in all her pursuits.

She is survived by her loving parents, Shelby and Luke Sr., and her brothers EJ, Orion, Luke Jr., Henry, Bentley, and Thane.

A viewing will be held at the First Baptist Church of West Danby on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 1-3pm, followed by a service at 3pm. Refreshments will follow the service. The Bangs Funeral Home in Ithaca, NY, is assisting the family with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Newfield Central School library in memory of Aasen. Please include Aasen in the memo line.
